winter orchid show

The John Oxley District Orchid Society is holding their Annual Winter show again, this July.

Held from Saturday 15th to Sunday 16th July at Mount Coot-tha Botanic Gardens, the Annual Winter Show is considered one of Brisbane’s premier Orchid Shows.

If you have never been to an orchid show you will be amazed at the huge variety of flowers, with displays of Australian Native Orchids, Species Orchids and Hybrid Orchids. Some have intoxicating scents, some are rather bizarre and then there is always the big bold and beautiful in every colour imaginable.

There will also be a huge sales area with plants for sale at reasonable prices, all growing accessories are also available for purchase. This is a perfect opportunity to increase your collection, or to get started on the very rewarding hobby of growing orchids.

There will also be growing talks and potting demonstrations held throughout the weekend from some of Brisbane best growers, as well as floral arrangements and light refreshments available.

John Oxley District Orchid Society Inc. Annual Winter Show will be held on Saturday 15th July from 8.30am to 4.00pm and Sunday 16th July from 9.00am to 3.30pm at Mount Coot-the Botanic Gardens. Entry is $4 and children are free. Don’t miss it!
