Coming up in the month of October, a month-long festival of all things fashion is happening in Brisbane, from runway events to pop up shops to information sessions. In celebration of Queensland’s blooming industry I thought I would take a moment to look at some of the local greats and the best buys at the moment for the coming season. All these local labels and more will be available all month of October in the Brisbane Fashion Month pop up store in the Wintergarden Shopping Centre.

Tyler Giudes

Tyler Giudes
A Townsville based label, I absolutely love how Tyler captures his audience and continues to create designs which are snapped up year after year. Tyler has been known to dress local politician MP Kate Jones, in his designs for the 35+ female market. I am loving the blue floral skirt and top from his latest arrivals.

This local Brisbane label brings the glamour back into sleepwear, owner Rosa created the line for those women to have comfortable and stylish sleepwear that can also get you well into the day. I love the bright colour and silky feel.

Sport le Moda
At a time when you thought it was impossible to find something a little different for your work out, Brisbane label has come up with an awesome crop top design which forces heads to turn due to its unique eye-catching design.

Uni Piece
Une Piece

Sun conscious, but also looking for a sexy alternative to the standard rashie? Brisbane label UNE PIECE has taken the world by storm with its “sexy rashie” selling out within days of launching and waitlists in place for limited colours. Don’t get burnt this Summer, look out for UNE PIECE.

All or Nothing Objects
A little bling is always needed and I love the handmade statement pieces from All Or Nothing Objects, each design so unique. I love how accessories can change the look of any outfit and add a little bit of extra personality to your day.

The men don’t need to worry about always missing out. I have had my eyes on label RaVenClan, offering great fashion blazers and statement men’s shirts for the fashion savvy, but also budget conscious menswear shopper.

You never need to look far to find great designs supporting local businesses. Be sure to check these out and more in October – when we celebrate the local fashion industry.
